Spyware/Virus Protection

In addition to a firewall you must have full time (active) virus protection and full time spyware protection.

All the following programs are free.

If you do not have active virus protection, install only one. All are excellent.

Owen (answer two) gave a good list of programs, but if you ever want a program to follow behind and make sure that these problems do not re-generate themselves (as a lot of spyware and viruses tend to do) I'm afraid to say you'll have to pay the small cost of Registry Booster or attempt to find a working serial and pirate it (I do not suggest that at all, those serial sites are extremely dangerous and tainted with bad downloads, I've had many client bring me infected computers which had gotten messed up while attempting to pirate software).

Many ways possible, how secure?

We can put BIOS password. Go into BIOS/CMOS setup and set it up. Simple.

We can put Windows login password. Control panel / Users / and set one up.

Which one you like?
