I always hated that saying.... lol
Sliced bread is boring as anything and not the least bit interesting, so it kinda downplays anything that would actually be the "best thing".
I'm pretty sure slicing bread was totally obvious anyway... I doubt anyone picked up the whole loaf and chomped into it, then one day said "Hey! If I cut it with this sharp thing, it will be easier to eat!!"
Anyway, as for best thing before sliced bread..... I guess the wheel? Or maybe fire... But yea, sliced bread was never on the list of "best things in life"....

Unsliced bread? I don't know. I wonder who the moron was that sat around thinking of that saying was lol. Nah, not a moron. If I was that person that created the saying, I would have found a way to copyright it and make money every time someone says it...hmm.
