I was watching some crazy Mexican soap opera earlier today and I was shocked at the various commercials talking about how great it is to join the marines etc. I find it "interesting” that the U.S government is spending a lot of money on these commercials in order to gain more Mexican recruitment. For me this is yet another example of the government trying to exploit Mexicans because they view them as cheap, Dispensable labor.... and for you racist pigs that are probably going to answer, let us not forget that Mexican Americans and won the most medals after WWII and have yet to receive recognition. And please do not answer this question if you are ignorant I'm only looking for replies from intelligent people.

I think it is for many reasons and that is probably one of them.
Cheap labor, military recruitment, the delusion that they will get political support on what they want to happen, the delusion it will give the USA socio economic clout to compete with up and coming china, and maybe to be divisive among citizens and other reasons as well.

They advertise in all mediums and on all channels. I've seen army and Marine commercials on the discovery network channels and on the news networks. They are trying to get volunteers from any and all sources, not just one.
You need to do something about this anger issue you have.
If they received the medals, then they received the recognition. That statement didn't make any sense.
The government isn't keeping "Mexicans" as some cheap secret labor force. The local companies are hiring any cheap labor force and many of them are Mexican as well as many other Central and South American nationals that crossed the border.
Please get your facts straight and stop assuming people are racist before they post. It's quite rude and make you appear racist.

I have to disagree with you. As I veteran, I must say that the number of Mexicans in the Military is really small compared to the number of Mexicans living in the United States. Also, not every one who enlists in the Military goes to the Infantry Field. Infantry are those soldiers who fight in the front line. Most Mexicans that enlist in the Military end up in the support fields. Meaning that most of them never get to go to combat. They simply provide support to the fighting troops. But I must agree with do more commercials are being aired now, but I've seen them in Spanish and English. Here in Los Angeles, I've also seen more billboards with inviting us to join the military. So far, I've only seen those in English. As far military pay goes. Service members get paid based on their rank and some get bonus for performing jobs that involve more risk. I don't think that it's because the government is trying to exploit because like I said, service member get paid based on their rank and not so much on their race.

I think it would be wonderful to watch the Mexicans fight for the nation they so strongly want a piece of. If you want US citizenship so bad, be willing to fight for it.
Yup, give them liberty or give em...
you know the rest.
America, led by corporate dirt bags is starting fires everywhere with very little to fight said fires with. That's why there's so much recruiting going on.America is slowly, or maybe not so slowly running out of able bodied youngsters.
America is becoming like the school yard bully who steals your lunch, then when you demand your lunch back, he goes to get his friends. Only thing is, America doesn't have as many friends as she used to.
Mexican troops,Corona anyone?
