Whats the pink dot on my map in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl? It constantly moves location & also floats over cities?

Ive only run from Azelf and ive caught Mesprit so its not that or they would appear on the tracking map.. but this is on my town map.. a pink dot..

Yeah, you're practically ready to take on the Elite Four. The Gym Leader in Snowpoint, Candace(sp), has pokemon in the mid 40's. You're fine.
