Harley's lawyers make much more money for the company than their motorcycles ever will. :)
Harley's are not my cup of tea. I'm not dumping on them, just my preference. I can find better bikes out there, so why buy this brand?
Ride safe!

I agree that Harley is behind on technology but so is a '57 Chevy, it doesn't mean that it's not worth owning. I've said it before and I'll say it again...if you bash on any brand of motorcycle just because you don't own it you are a punkass who has no love or respect for motorcycles in general. Have a nice day.

no
if you are a bike manufacturer you better have lawyers
somebody is always out to sue for something
harley has built other styles of bikes
i have seen some of their concept bikes with v4 engines etc
they are not going to change
they could build other bikes but why
when you buy one it is not for performance
you buy it for the style and design
the v twin is what you expect from them
you can get anything you want for it to personalize it
their tradition is built on the v twin design
they build what sells
also look at this

No. 99.99% of accidents are not caused by the motorcycles, regardless of the manufacturer, they are caused by the driver or another driver. Granted, you must own a jap bike, if you own one at all. Trying to put someone else down, to make yourself feel better about the decision you made to buy a jap bike, is a sad affair. if you are so proud of your motorcycle (assuming of course, that you have one), why don't you get a BIG tattoo of the manufacturer printed across your chest? Then you can proudly display how proud you are to own that HONDA. But, I guess that won't happen... :)

I'm not much for Harleys either. There's just better bikes out there, (ie.. Titan, Big Dog, ect.) in the twin family. I think considering the history of the company and what the name means to alot of people I would find a better dig!
I agree, there is room for improvement.

They already have enough.
Fuel injection, electronic crap.
Who gave it to us? Engineers!
I know what I like. I like simple and dependable. I don't need all this expensive junk to make something as simple as a motorcycle run.

let's see.... if it's about making a bike that can hardly go any faster then a snail without falling apart.... that can hardly be ridden on anything that is not a straight road...that needs tons of TLC.....that sounds like it were actually much faster....then I guess...no...they are doing a terrific job already...perhaps their lawyers are engineering them ;))))))))
ps: but the V-Rod is a great looking HD a serious biker can actually ride....surprise surprise....finally looks + performance, uh? ;)
