i rolled my foot 4 weeks ago at school.
i went to the doctor and got xrays and they saw nothing so i was gave some crutches and i was on my way.
it was still swollen and bruised and hurting super bad a week later.
i went to a foot doctor and they say nothing in the xrays either so i had a soft cast put on and i had to get a MRI in the MRI they saw nothing but a slight tear in my ligament but they said not to worry about it much.
after that they gave me a "Blue Shoe" for 2 weeks and when i went back it was still hurting really bad.
they sent me to get a repeate MRI just to make sure they didn't miss anything and when the results came in it was nothing.
so they put me in a brace and in tennis shoes.
i go back to the doctor in 6 weeks.

it still hurt REALLY REALLY bad..
like NEVER before..
it throbs in pain 24/7
i don't know what to do anymore..

ANY SUGGESTiONS?

Stop your morning mile run.

Actually, I had a foot injury some years back... accident at work, wasn't pretty. Anyway, I was in a cast for 8 weeks, and wore special orthopedic shoes for a year. Now, years later, when a strong storm front approaches, I can tell, as much as 24 hours in advance... because of an ache in the foot bone that was broken.

Foot injuries are different for each individual. I wish I could say that it will stop hurting next week, but I can't. Just continue to follow your therapist or doctor's advice. Ask them if they think a warm soak or an ice bath (for your foot) would help.

Mainly, take it easy on the foot, but don't really "baby" it either.

And, stop that mile run in the morning for the near future. ;)

Yes, soak your foot in some water with a couple of table spoons of Epsom salt. If you have a tear in your ligament then it means some of the muscles in your foot were stretched also and can be leaking fluids on the inside. The salt will help draw out the excess fluids and promote healing for your foot. Also, when your foot starts feeling better, trying finding exercises for your foot which will strengthen your foot. Foot exercises will help tighten your foot muscles and pull your ligament back into place. Okay give that a try. Take care.

Soft tissue tears are very painful and take weeks to get better. There are so many little bones in your foot it's very hard to see a break so it's possible to have a crack but there isn't much more they would do anyway. Try to elevate your foot often and try some warm then cool compresses. It speeds the healing and reduces the pain some.
