My Dad is even-tempered, has done a great job supporting his family, has a good sense of humor, is well-read and intelligent, enjoys good food and good friends.... but I think the thing that I personally love most about my father is how he instilled a love of music in me.

I'm very happy that you have a great dad. So sorry you are going to lose him soon. At least you have lots of good memories of your father once he is gone. Personally I did not have such a loving a supportive father and haven't seen or spoken to my father for over 15 years. Enjoy what time you have left with your father, he sounds like a great one!

That is so nice of you to post such honor on your stepfather's behalf. My Father passed away in 1995 but it stills feels like yesterday. It seems as though he's still alive, sometimes, because whenever I'm cleaning or cooking etc. I feels as though he's still here giving advice.
He loved helping others and giving advice and I had to admit to him before he passed away that everything he ever taught me and my sisters and brother, we felt he was always right.

My Mother loved him...their love was like a fairy tale and she passed away exactly 3 years later from a broken heart, her Doctor said, because they were married very young and Daddy was 88 when he passed away.

May the LORD bless you and your family in this time of your lives and I know your father is just really proud that you're his daughter. Tell him how much he has always meant to you and how proud you are of him and that you're glad he's your father.
Thank your Mother for marrying him...and from reading your posted message I feel that they are blessed to have you as a daughter especially in this day in time.

I'm so sorry. Make the most of what time you have together. My dad died a long time ago. He was a loving father. I always felt safe and secure with him around. He was an honest, good man.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. The same exact thing happened to my grandpa. He had bone cancer too and he was not my biological grandfather, but treated me like I was one of his grandchildren. He was really the only grandpa I really had because my one grandpa (my dads real dad) is an alcoholic and isnt very involved. And my moms dad died when she was 3. It hit me pretty hard when my grandpa died.

My father I consider my friends. When I was younger and would get in trouble he always took up for me even when he knew I was in the wrong, but he never let anyone know. He was always there for me. He always told me I could do anything I set my mind too.
:D

He's the kindest human being I've ever met. He's always willing to help out someone in need, even if it's a stranger. I'm definitely a daddy's girl. I'm really sorry to hear about your dad...I'm sure he is a wonderful person.
