Can't tell you off hand the best curry house [Indian, Pakistani, Nepali etc] restaurant in UK - however, here's the real secret to finding one that's really really good, innit.

What you do is find a restaurant that's full of folk of Indian, Pakistani descent etc and go in there and eat with them.

I explain this, innit, because whenever I have done this myself, I have eaten food more than just approximating the real thing whereas if a restaurant is just full of Anglos, although the food might be good, it is often not very Sub-Continental.

Britain's favourite dish = chicken tikka masala - actually a dish invented here in UK by an Indian chef, innit.

There's an Indian restaurant called Tamarind in Mayfair Central London, which is really famous for its attention to detail and has won Michelin Awards for good cuisine for a number of years.

It's ridiculously expensive though, but its worth trying out if you are ever in Central London.

I dunno if it's the best in the UK but I went to an Indian restaurant called Sahibs in Southall and that was some of the best Indian food I have tasted.
