I have 11K drachmas left from my last trip and wonder if I can change them at a Greek bank when I go to Athens. How much are they worth?

Keep them at some point they will have collectors value.

See if you can sell them at ebay.

(Nominal worth 32.28E I think you can still sell them at local banks-no commission-otherwise only at bank of greece in center of Athens)

If you mean 11.000 drachmas this amount is translated to 32 euros, an amount which is not considered very important nowdays, as the value of drachmas was quite different 5 years ago. With that amount one could buy lots of things, while with the corresponding value in euros just a meal at a mediocre restaurant.
Banks do not exchange drachmas any longer, and the value of recent drachmas is of no importance as they are not yet considered as old (antique) money.
So, sorry to say, but it's evident that you've lost this amount.

You cannot exchange drachmas for euros.
In fact, euro currency was thrown into circulation in 01.01.2002, and we could exchange drachmas for euros until 31.12.2002. Beyond that date they're useless.
In 50 or 80 years they will probably have a collectors value, but it's a very small amount of money anyway.

I am not sure if local banks still exchange the drachmas (and if they do it maybe they will ask you for a commission).

What you can do is visit Bank of Greece at Panepistimiou str in the center of Athens and they will do it for sure. They will provide you with the equivalent in Euros.

can you write please again how many drachmas you have?
If it is only 11 drachmas, they worth 30 cents.
340,75 drachmas are 1 euro.
But unfortunatelly banks do not exchange drachmas anymore. Only antique stores in Monastiraki area, at the center of Athens.

11.000 drachmas are about 30 Euro. You will be asked for a commission. Ask at the bank of Greece (www.bankofgreece.gr). (Not the national bank of greece, but a more central institution).

Yes. Upon arrival to Athens, you should visit the main offices of Bank of Greece (Stadiou avenue). For more info: http://www.bankofgreece.gr/en/
You can go there by metro

Combine it with a walk in the center...

Good luck.

I'm sure you still can do that. Go to a bank or ask in your hotel.
And, yes, it is like 30 euros moreless.
