No its really doesnt make sense at all and you can always buy a real water bottle to fill up when you have the big jug. Its makes more sense and its just as 'convenient'

I always wondered that too I just thought because the water bottle was cold so they charge extra for some reason.

It's for the convenience, we wouldn't want to run around town packing a gallon of water and you pay the bucks for convenience.

Extortion! I think it is silly to have to buy WATER at all. My goodness...when I was a kid we'd drink it straight from the tap...not a question. Now that I live in San Diego...I'd get shunned for a faux pau (sp?) like that.
