Have you tried Yahoo! auctions, or eBay?

I went on Yahoo! shopping & typed: buying a letter opener. The search returned many listings, but the very first one had a picture & description of a 9" chrome one at Office Depot for $1.39

Personally, I know I have a plastic 7" one I got as a giveaway many years ago; , one of those small, square plastic things that has a pointed arm on the bottom, an imbedded blade over that, a magnet on the back to hang it on the fridge & an ad on the front for something or other; a 10" chrome one with a slotted handle so it can hang on a nail, or something; & I had a novelty small one with a curved blade & cloissone handle in a cloissone case from China, but it was stolen off my desk at work.

Anyway, I never had much luck with using them because it seems the majority of the envelopes I receive aren't well sealed to begin with, so its just easier to use my fingers.

can't you just go to the store? try office depot, target, walmart. lots of places will have them. I don't guarantee much luck on the internet. letter openers aren't worth a lot, so someone probably wouldn't waste their time putting a single letter opener on ebay.
