Hey. Yes absolutely. I graduated (10 years for a 4 year degree.. yikes) and found out how UNPREPARED for the world I was. I figured the rest of the world had it wrong and so since I was right and they were wrong I may as well have a drink! Around 26 I found the drink had me instead. So it's been 12 years of unlearning what I thought I knew and relearning how to live. I would give anything to do it again. But I take every opportunity now to learn all the stuff I should have learned then but was unprepared for... it's a lot more interesting than any drunk binge I ever went on back then.

When people are in their 20's they think they know what they want to do with their life.

By 30, it all changes due to family pressures (have one and want more freedom, don't have one and want one). Those who opted for a career early may be wrapping one up at 37. Those who were wishy-washy about it will pick one by 35.

Those who slept with a lot of people in their younger years slow down, those who held out get a second childhood.

I'm 43. We're all even except for the money by now, unless you made a fatal mistake.

My life was planned out and I knew it all in my 20's!!! I am 45 now and realize that you can plan your plans, but not the outcomes! Boy, I wish I knew then what I know now so I could make some adjustments!

I feel the same way about my 30's, heck, I feel the same way about yesterday. Everyday is a venture in growing up!

You relearn everything in life. Thats the way it is. Its the perception of the learning that changes with time and experience.

Of course, it's the way of the world. We always think we know a lot, but there is always someone more experienced and more knowledgeable . . .
