i try to do something every day. i think no act is an unselfish act thought. even if you are doing something for someone else, you still get the rewarding feeling that comes with :)

i am going to ethiopia for three weeks in july to work with kids orphaned from AIDS...and i couldn't be happier about doing something for someone else

Every single day. The neighbors come over to borrow movies, sugar, coffee, whatever. Their kids like to have cups of water with straws in them. I put Band-Aids on their boo-boos, tie their shoes. I pick up garbage I find on the ground. My mom likes letters in the mail with stickers on them to cheer her up on crappy days. I like to kiss my husband when he least expects it. I hold doors open for people. I read the neighbor her mail as she can't read too well. If everyone did things like these, the world would be a better place...

I asked a good friend of mine to stop in the restaurant cause she was passing by, then she asks if I'd buy her dinner & I go "sure", so she stopped in & the whole time she was there she was visiting with a guy, (we were sitting at a counter) he was on my left side, she was on my right-as soon as she was done eating, they continued to talk, then he got up & left, a minute later, she goes walk me to my car, I gotta go...(I'm like; "well thanks for the quick visit we had!")-I wish I never asked her to stop in!

well, never, i do expect recognition for it, a thank you maybe. but i at least do one thing a day for someone else, it really makes you happy to give to others.
