You have hit the nail on the head. When you are speaking as a purist or anyone for that matter and you know enough about yourself to be totally aware of what the basic needs are, then "All you need is love".

True love, and not lust or some distorted or selfish view of love. Pure love that you are committed to regardless of the hardships that befall you.

So many other things can make life a little easier but as you have said, the basis of love and the benefits of Pure Love is Trust.... etc but there are many other benefits and all of them are based on the level of committment you put into the relationship.

How do you ensure that you are able to take full advantage of the benefits of Pure Love....

"To thine own self be true"

All you need is love is a lie.

Haven't you heard married couples talk about the work it takes to stay together?! Haven't you seen the divorce rates skyrocket?! And don't forget, love also leads to betrayal, jealousy, murder, fear, anger, sadness. Love can be amazing, but it leads to a lot of pain too. As someone who's been in love, I can tell you, it was traumatizing. There were a lot of emotions involved, most were not good.
I'm not a cynic; I'm a realist.

If people didn't love, the world would be a little better.

But, it'd be much worse.

Sometimes love is not enough.
You can love someone endlessly, wish the best for them, and in the long wrong they end up pretty badly.
Love is enduring and we never stop loving, but sometimes the person isn't capable of loving the way we do.

I used to believe that. Life experiences have jaded my view of that statement. I have been in love three times. And love was not all we needed. Perhaps I have not truly been loved.
I also get perplexed that men who have wanted to be with me tend to become who they think I want them to be.Then they can't maintain that and they become who they truly are.

I need a man who can be genuinely himself when I get to know him and then love who he is, not who he thinks he should be for me or what I think I need to be for him. Expectations can ruin everything.

I know few couples who have been able to maintain that kind of love that dreams are made of. Or maybe it is that dreams come true when we dare to dream.

A lesson I have learned that is I am not defined by who loves me. I am defined by myself and then a man is a extra gift in life.

I'm a romantic at heart too but clean air, food and water are kind of important as well. Money, less so.

No - unfortunately you need money too. You cant live on love alone. It would be nice if you could, but it doesnt pay the bills. Pax - C
