It is normally recommended that you avoid swimming and hot tubs and other public places to prevent spreading the bacteria but you could check with your doctor. There are various kinds of staph infections ranging from surface (impetigo) to deadly (MRSA) and depending on what type of infection you are experiencing and how it is being treated you may have different restrictions of activity.

Please be considerate of yourself as well as others. If you are ill or have an infection, stay out of public places, and or swimming Pools. I am certain you do not want to spread it to others. Get a clearance from your Doctor before you enter into swimming Pool
