Jake Peavy has been the most dominant pitcher this year.....and it's not even close.

Uh Jake Peavy. The guy is just dominating in San Diego. A lot of people arent as familiar with him cause he's out in California, but he's awesome. He has awesome strikeout power, great breaking stuff, and my choice for Cy Young right now. I think it's gonna be down between him and Hamels for the Cy Young in the NL.

I don't think Hamels will win it. Peavy is a stud and has been good for a few years. Hamels is young and I don't know how well he will do as the season goes on. Peavy is 8-1 and a 1.82 ERA...that's Cy Young material right there.

I think Peavy is the obvious favorite at this point - an 8-1 record, and a 1.82 ERA.

Hamels is having a great season, but at this point his ERA is almost twice that of Peavy, and Peavy is only one strikeout behind Hamels for the lead in that category.

Jake Peavy has been stellar to say the least. It will be a very interesting CY Young race this year.

Peavy is the clearcut NL Cy Young right now, and he will win it

ill go with brad penny just to make it interesting.

REC 8-1 | SV 0 | ERA 2.18 | WHIP 1.17

81 hits. 23 runs. 2 HRs 25 BB. 61 Ks .242 BAA

Peavy does have better stats but not by much. The West race will probably give the answer at the end.

peavy 8-1 so far with a league leading era of 1.82 (hamels 3.47). 103 strikeouts for peavy is second to hamels' 104
