The title is:
avgcc.exe - Unable to Locate Component

and on the inside it says:
This application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.



I have no clue what this is except that it is a self extracting file. does anyone know what it is and if I need it and is I don't how to delete it.

I'm no computer expert by any means, but I recognize avgcc.exe- it has to to with computer security. I have avg on my computer because it's free and works well. It protects against viruses, spyware, and junk like that. If you have norton or some other anti-virus software, I wouldn't worry aboutit, but if you use AVG, I'd re-install it. It might be important.

Here is a link to a site where you can download the MFC71.DLL file. It will probably come in zipped up, so you'll need to unzip it. Then just copy and paste it into both the "System" and the "System 32" folder inside of the "Windows" folder. IE. My Computer/"C"/Windows/ and then scroll down to the two "System" folders.

try running the following two menus of ccleaner
cleaner > Analyze > Run Cleaner
issues > Scan For Issues > Fix Selected Issues

After that you can reinstall the AVG antivirus program

I believe that avgcc.exe is from the Grisoft Antivirus program.

Go to www.grisoft.com and download the freebie again. If you want to uninstall the antivirus besure to uninstall it from the If you do not see
Click on or
Click on
Click on
Click on in the upper left corner
Scroll down to Grisoft AVG
Click on
Restart your computer and see of ot reappears. If it doesn't you have taken care of the problem.
