Yes, indeed the media should back off from Paris Hilton altogether. She is a nobody and doesn't merit any attention at all. And, as I read the rules, this sort of question is a violation.

We have driven the media to further desensitize us to the point of losing all common sense. How in the world can things get better when we find our sense of values rolled up in the pathetic lives of people like Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole, Britney Spears, etc. These human tragedies should not be our entertainment, nor dinner table topic. I truly believe much of these tragic stories wouldn't have happened had we not driven them to find other ways to hide away from prying eyes.
When we find our way back to spending our time in seeking ways to improve the human condition; maybe just maybe, we'll once again understand what it is to be a participating member of the human race and make it a better world.

Honestly yes. The world doesnt need to be wasting their time and effort worrying about some spoiled rich girls life when there are people around the world who are sick, starving, and dying from wars. If people put as much effort into putting these problems into the media instead of a spoiled girl's life splattered on every headline the world might become a better place.

I would rather see Paris Hilton life..the life of a ping pong ball..in jail out in the hosptial out..in jail out..in rehab..out..
then Iraq..or the immigrants saga..this is just so depressing.
so give us the Circus like Paris Hilton..and all the other eye candy that comes out of the entertainment community..She is making mockery of the world...and we are eating it up...but she did not make Fortune 500..top 500..ouch..Oprah was number one...go figure.

Yes, first of all I'm sick of seeing it on cnn. Second it's none of our business. If you think about how Paris feels about the situation it's harsh and unfair that people are seeking entertainment from her mistakes. Dont get me wrong Paris is getting off easy.

YES! i actually feel bad for her. I really could care less if she is in jail, or at home, or at the hospital. The girl just needs to serve her time and go back to partying.

BOY- that would be nice! Unfortunately (for US- anyway), she'll be getting OUT in a couple of weeks- & the Media will be all over her- all over again! So don't get too "used to" the peace & quiet... :(
