Ear piercing: is it worth it?

Question

I'm not really very into jewellery. I basically wear a necklace, watch and occasionally a ring. On the other hand, ear-rings can be very pretty. I know it doesn't cost much to get it done but I live out in the country, and have to rely on others for a lift into to town and just wanted to know in other people's experience is it just another thing to think about when going out?

There's sumthing about earrings that adds life to the face. I recommend u shud get an ear piercing. Besides, there are lots of earring sold in the market ryt now, ul go gaga over them. It will add oomph to your outfit!

It's up to you. Before you go ahead and have them done make sure it is something that you really want to do. My ears are pierced and I love the earrings I wear, but they are a lot of work. Do keep in mind that some people have more sensitive ears than others and that can make for even more work. If you aren't entirely certain then wait a bit.

It is so fun to have pierced ears and they can make you feel exquisite, but make sure that it is your decision :)

It's definitely worth it! I feel naked without earrings lol. And if you don't always feel like wearing flashy earrings, you can wear small studs or something. But even after the 6 week healing period, don't go earring-less for more than a couple of days for a while or your hole will close up. But once you've had it for a while you don't have to wear earrings at all, but you'll have the option. Definitely worth it!

I got mine pierced sooo long ago... I don't wear a lot of jewelery either. But it's nice to have the option to put something on when I get dressed up.

Maybe you should get something else pierced. The problem I had/have with earrings was that I hated trying to figure out which ones to wear. Too time consuming.

I've had my navel pierced for many years now. It's great. I have one barbell and don't have to worry about matching it to anything!

Most girls get them done when they are little, I did. I have 3 holes in each ear lobe and one in my left cartilage. I only wear earrings in the middle hole if that LOL. Yeah, if you wanna do it then go for it. Earrings are very pretty and fun to wear. As long as you take care of your ears for the first few weeks then it's a breeze. Good luck! :)

this is truly a matter of mind over matter. if you mind,it matters. if you don't mind, it does not matter. either way, rather you choose to do so or not.you can still wear the ear ring, be it clipped or pierced.you'll still have many beautiful style's to choose from. most girl's prefer the pierced,because the clipps have a tendency to cause the ear lobe to become sore after a while. i hope this helps you to decide whats best for you. good luck....the quiet storm

Why not? If your pierce them its not like a tattoo, you can take it out and it will go away. It's not a life decision. Try it, if you dont like it take it out. But in my opinion they're really good. When you have your hair up you can wear nice earrings and it just makes you look so much glamorous. So I say, GO FOR IT! There's nothing to lose.

You don't have to wear them every day so its not something you would have to think about it. You can get it done 4 free at claires, u just have to buy a pair of earrings and u would have to anywayz so i say u do it! I had mine peirced when i was in second grade, i was suprized by how much it didn't hurt. Its totally worth it!

Its worth it. I have my ears pierced and only wear earrings a few times a month but its really nice when you can buy matching necklace and earring sets and look totally cordinated.

Ear piercing is well worth it.

I have silver hoop in each ear for almost a year & totally love having it. I went back & forth about getting it done, but now I can't imagine not having them.
