Most people hate physics because it challenges the way they view the world. It gives them a set of laws known to be true by science which contradicts everyday experience. For most people, physics just does not conceptually make sense. Another reason is the poor mathematical ability of a lot of students. It is assumed in most physics classes that you are very capable of algebraic manipulation and have a wide knowledge of trigonometry. This is not the case for the vast majority of undergraduate and high school students. The difficult mathematics plus the different conceptual view of the world makes it challenging for most students.

Physics is a very facinating subject and can be made interesting . If the teacher does not quite understand it that the subject can be boring. So whether you will like physics or not depends on the way its taught by the teacher.

I love physics. That's why I'm getting a PhD in it. But I wouldn't expect a 12-year old to be able to appreciate it.

I'm basing the '12' thing off of the Pete Wentz thing.

The obvious reason is that most people find it difficult. Most people dislike mathematical word problems and physics seem to be nothing but.

Most people find it hard to solve problems of physics. I think mathematical computations and critical thinking are one of the reasons.

I don't really know anyone who really hates physics; if they do, it's because they're afraid of what they don't know or understand. That's actually what most humans are afraid of (the unknown).

i suppose people find physics intimidating because of all the math.

i love physics--although i might not understand most of it.

i think physics is the fundamental science =)

I don't think that is an accurate statement, a lot of people are frustrated because of limited mathematical skills.
