I started Giving him 3 as usual, but then on the bottle of betta bites, it said 6-8 per serving, so i started giving him 8 so that is equal 16 a day. After that that i noticed that my betta was just floating like if he was full and ready to explode, that made me feel sad but i though he liked the 8 per serving, but later then i found out he didnt, so i dont really know what to do now, today i gave him 3 per serving and now he seems kinda healthier but hungry so what would you recommend me?
-thanks

I give my betta 3-4 twice a day. If I gave him as many as he'd eat in 4-5 minutes he'd explode! He's a very piggy betta. He also snacks on my cories wafers.

Healthy fish are always hungry! if the fish is more comfortable with 3, and going with 8 seems to give both of you problems, stick to 3 per serving.

As many as he will eat in 4-5 minutes is a good bet. That might be 3 or it might be 8 depending on the betta.

i think 6 a day is fine. mine get 4 a day and are fine. i gave them 6 a day and they were getting fat. bettas look like they have little peas stuck in them when they are fat -- there undersides should be fairly even and not buldging anywhere.

bettas will almost always be hungry -- they only turn down food if they are moody for some reason.

Three is a good amount. I knew a girl who had a ton of bettas that lived for over five years, and she fed them three pellets per meal, two meals a day.

I give my betta 4 pellets 2x's a day and he seems to be good. Don't use the flakes, they are no good. Stick with the pellets and he should be ok.

Split the difference and give him about 5. From what you are saying, it should be just about right.
