Feeding flowerhorn?

Question

pls. guide me on feeding flowerhorns...i know there are many things a flowerhorn can eat give me some good combination that will enhance their head and color(without the artificial enhancer). enlighten me. thanks.

Flower horn fish has very good appetite. This hybrid can either take live food or fish pellets as well as frozen blood worm, which is one of its favourite. It is advisable to feed the fish 2-3 times a day in small quantity. Ideally to have a mixture of life and fish feed.

This will make the fish healthier. Besides, the intensity of coloration greatly depends on the diet of the fish. Excessive feeding of color enhancer is not advisable as it may contain harmful chemicals. Please do it in moderation.

For color you need a good varied diet heavy on things that contain carotene's. For a carnivorous fish like a flower horn you basically have two options and I would use them both. One is red meaty foods like blood worms and krill. The other is to "gut load" feeder fish. You feed your feeder fish heavy on foods that contain carotene's. Since guppies and goldfish, the most common feeders will eat vegetable matter well, feed them carrots, beets and similar red and yellow foods. Then right away give them to the flower horn. When the flower horn eats them, it is also eating the food you just gave them. Good quality prepared foods will also help color.

For grow a good diet and clean water are essential and one of the very best ways to encourage good strong, healthy growth of the entire fish.

they way on feeding on flower horn is i feed some of my flower horn with shrimp only and they are looking sooo pretty i can eassilly sell it for 1000 buck but i only have 4 flowerhorn
