i just bougt a new hp pavilion and i cant connect to the internet. I can connect to my wireless network but not the internet my network connection says local only when it should say local and internet how do i fix this

check you ethernet cable , if you are cable internet subscriber you should used the ethernet cable or USB cable that comes with it.Contact you internet service provider.And dont forget to install software in order to connect into internet

This is not Vista's fault, this is the network configuration's fault. So those people that are blaming Vista should probably shut up and think about the situation.

It is not Vista. Something is wrong with your DSL line. The same EXACT thing happened with me and I went through hours of frustration trying to fix the computer when all the while it was my DSL line.
Call your tech support line.

god I hate Vista.........only Microshiest could get away with releasing a program that never passed it's beta testing. My best recommendation, wipe it and get xp
