YES! You could...you can go to college and get a theatre degree in acting...and maybe get your masters in acting (i am getting my masters in Theatre Design right now, I want to be a professional designer)..if you go to the right school you can meet some awesome people and start to network and get to know people in the buisness, and get a start and then if you are involved there you can maybe then get jobs after, and you will have a good reputation....
....or just move somewhere with lots of theatre or movies, and go to auditions.....(like NY, Houston, Chicago or LA)
some of the most famous broadway actors didnt make it when they were 18...they were older....
If it is your dream...go for it...but know that it is hard and you have to be willing to work your behind off. Only a small percentage (under 10%) of actors who are part of the actors equity association are actually employed at any given moment....its tough, and you will have to work to support yourself in another job while you go to auditions to get a part in a show.......but it will be worth it. :) Break a leg!!

Sounds such as you desire to be a celeb. If that's your target, than transfer to LA. If you're occupied with performing, than performs are simply as well and you have got a greater danger of having a aspect. More importantly despite the fact that, you'll LEARN to be a well actor. At 18, you could have the entire proficiency on this planet, however you continue to have plenty to be taught. Moving to New York is a colossal horrifying deal. My suggest (and I realize, I'm within the buisness) is transfer to New York if you happen to desire to and cross to auditions everyday. Don't permit any individual let you know that you simply can not do it. Don't quit. Do as many performs as you'll be able to till you get an agent. Send you head shot and resume to dealers. Make peers and connections. GET AN AGENT as quickly as you'll be able to, and to get one you need to have an excellent resume so begin doing performs! I realize many triumphant actors which might be your age, however they've enjoy. They began doing respectable theatre at thirteen or 15 or more youthful routinely. You can get into films, however your probabilities are slender to none with out an agent. Be respectable, nobody like a diva, even if that diva is a colossal superstar. You do not need the proficiency to be unprofessional, nobody does. Even stars get fired. Your status is the whole lot, New York is the most important small the town on this planet. The theatre neighborhood this is even smaller, every person is aware of every person finally, if you happen to honestly paintings (so much folks do not). Good Luck (or holiday a leg if you're superstitious). New York is the high-quality situation on this planet to reside, an strong situation to be taught to be a excellent actor, and stuffed with possibilities if you're sensible ample to cause them to.

You have as good a chance as any actor, and a better chance than some experienced child actors. Remember that there are legions of child actors (some huge child-stars) who grow up and aren't "cute" anymore and can't get a job because of their past persona.
If you love it and really want it, go for it. Don't let anyone dampen your enthusiasm. It is far better to follow your dream than to wake up middle-aged and wonder "what if."

I'm sorry to say, probably not. Even if age wasn't an issue, the sheer number of people that get to act is very small. Consider that for every 1 role on TV or in a movie, there are hundreds if not thousands of people that are trying for that one shot. Personally, I wouldn't go in to try for acting at any age because the chances are just too small for most people to get in. Also consider that a lot of people that get in to acting get in because they know someone, not because of talent alone.
