It means you have EXACTLY the same I.Q. that I do !!! :) But what it REALLY means for YOU- is that you're smart enough to get a GOOD education, go to college, get a good job- & have a Great Life- IF you're willing to work hard & apply yourself. So let's SEE what you DO with those brains! :)

Well, if you have an IQ of 114 and think that it is above average, what's your question? You have your mind made up and if we tell you that you are incorrect about it being above average, you probably won't pick a best answer. Anything above 120 is usually considered above average, while 100-119 is considered average. An IQ of 75 and below means a person is in the mentally deficient/retarded range. IQ scores of 76 to 99 is below average, and obviously a score of 80 is lower - and therefore more below-average - than a score of 99.

Also, you seem to think there is an age connection. The reason IQ scores taken online are inaccurate is because they are not specialized for each person by their age. If you actually had your IQ tested professionally by, say, a psychologist, they would have you take a test meant for someone your age. That way, when you take the test, your age is already a factor. A score of 114 is as good for a five-year-old as it is for a fourteen-year-old as it is for a seventy-year-old. Age does not make your IQ any better or worse than it would be for anyone of any other age.

If you've ever seen the movie Rainman, you would realize that IQ and "smartness" do not have a connection, either. Rainman has autism but yet probably has a very high IQ score. People that you would considered "stupid" and "retarded" often have surprisingly high IQs. This is because IQ is a measurement of your estimated potential to absorb information, figure out and complete patterns, and visually solve puzzles. The higher your IQ, the more potential you will have to solve reasoning questions.

Hope this helps! ;-)

Average is around 100.

To be considered "gifted" in American Schools is to have an IQ score of 130.

So you are above average.

You have a 114 IQ, but if you do not have any common sense, then you are dumb. But if you have an IQ of 114 and have common sense, then yes you are smart

IQ is a measure of your potential. It's good that you are above average, but you must apply that ability in order to benefit from having it.

Smartness comes from the knowledge you acquire with your IQ. So don't let us down, learn a lot, OK?

IQ isn't really a good way to see how smart you are. Many people see it as a pointless test now. You're as smart as you want to be. You could have an IQ of 250 but if you don't want to gain knowledge then you're as smart as the village drunk.

Hate to tell you, that's only a few points above the average. But that doesn't mean you're smarter than everybody--I've seen some pretty dumb smart people in my day.

Average is not smart my friend, but the good news is you aren't dragging your knuckles. Be happy.

It means society will expect more from you, while all of the less privileged intellectually whine about their "rights" until they get equal treatment.
It's a conspiracy. What do you say we take the world back?
