My boyfriend and I (both 22) are going to San Diego in August and don't have a lot of money to work with. There are a lot of things we would really like to do, but we only have about 3-4 days. What are the best things to do for your money? Or any suggestions for things that maybe we haven't thought of doing?

there are numerous factors to do. For one-India St. isn't a French street. i easily lived in this street even as i replaced into turning out to be up and that section is termed Little Italy. tremendous eating places, Italian delis, and espresso shops, yet probably no longer a lot interesting on your 5 twelve months previous. you should pass the zoo-international well-loved, and in case you could, the Wild Animal Park (about 30min out of the city). The Scripps Aquarium in la Jolla is fairly astounding and has a petting pool. Its also good by the coastline so that you may want to pass there after because the Aquarium isn't an all day journey. mission Bay has numerous reliable places for walks and footage which aren't from now on crowded-Paradise factor is one. For fairly reliable %. although, i propose sundown Cliffs. mission coastline is interesting and has carnival video games and rides yet is continually very crowded in the course of the summer time. you probably gained't spot any animals although, it is a city. i might want to also propose the former city trolley excursions. It expenses about $30 someone and is an all day journey. An previous formed trolley automobile is a narrated excursion that takes you round to different spots of interest contained in the city. you will get off at any spot and stay there as long as you want and a clean trolley comes by each and every 30 min. It is going, to the bay, marina, downtown, Balboa Park (a ought to with dozens of museums such as an section museum that's totally palms on very interesting for all), Coronado Island and a pair different spots. i desire you've an outstanding time!

Mission Bay beach is an amazingly beautiful area to hang out. The whole city surrounds the bay and is covered in beaches, and behind the beaches there are many small parks and relaxing areas. It's a beautiful place to just "hang out".

I stronly suggest you research Balboa Park. Another amazing area-- very low cost. It is a gorgeous place just to walk around and has about 10 very low cost (5-10$) museums ranging from ancienty egypt to modern art.

You cannot visit San Diego without taking a trip to Coronado Island. Take a trip to Hotel del Coronado and walk on the beaches to see where Marilyn Monroe stayed and filmed some scenes. Some of the best views in this area are on Coronado. has lots of nice shops and stores to walk in and around.....

Balboa Park
It has a plethora of museums, from fine art, to aviation, to sports, to natural history. And the architecture is quite stylish for its time too. You can even take in a play at the Old Globe Theatre. Balboa Park is huge!

Downtown Gaslamp
Plenty of bar and restaurants. There are some bars that have no cover. Great late night spot.

Old Town San Diego
Can we say Fresh Tortillas! A great place to go for one of your nights out. So many Mexican Restaurants. It feels like you are in Old Time Mexico, when California was still Mexico.
