I like this question.
We wanted an Irish name. We always knew the middle name would be William after my deceased uncle who was my godfather. We knew we were having a boy. My first choice was always Cormac. Strong and very traditional Irish. Husband never liked that name so it was out. We were fixated on Rory for a while and even referred to my bumb as such. At the last minute we chose the name Keegan William. We really love the name and the boy is simply adorable!

My last child if it was a boy was going to be Stephen Michael after one of my younger brothers who passed away a few years ago. I never knew him growing up but when I found my dad after twenty some odd years I had two younger brothers. I didn't really get to know him well since he lived in a different state but he was awesome and he got a rare form of leukemia and after he had been treated and cleared of it he died unexpectedly from heart problems so since he is no longer with us I wanted to honor him if I had a boy but I had a girl instead. Sorry such a long story

my son, Jonathan Caleb whom we call Caleb and yes I did it backwards on purpose was almost James Cameron and we were going to call him Cameron.
my daughter Victoria Marie, we call Tori. I hate her name and wish I hadn't promised both grandmothers I would name her after both of them because she SHOULD have been Cassidy Lenae.
then again, she is nine months old now and even though I was completely against it at the time, I wish I would have listened to her daddy and named her Isabella, because she honestly looks like an Isabella. Unfortunately she already knows her name or I would probably change it, lol. Thats ok because I think Isabella is trendy right now. yes it should have been Cassidy Lenae. thats my final answer!

My Ma says that If i had been a boy my name would have been Mark Charles after my two grandpas, and for a girl she had liked the name Leah .. no middle picked out. but she got so sick of it before i was born that she changed it to Laura. She liked Lori and my dad didn't, and he liked Lavinia ( YUCKKK!) and mom didn't, and he liked Sabrina and Samantha and mom didn't. Quite a fight to name me! My name ended up being Laura Richelle. I happen to like it. :)

If my twins had been boys, hubby picked the names Jacob Lee and Jonathan Mark.
If my son had been a girl, I was going to name him Ella Grace.
My youngest would have been named Thomas Eugene if she was a boy...

For our first if we had a boy was going to be Dylan Alexander and girl Sierra Alexandra. We had a baby girl and as soon as we saw her she was named Bailey Jade and Bailey very much suits her. For our next one due in two months it is still Dylan Alexander for a boy and Sheridan Grace for a girl.
