Theories generally are ideas composed of a number of facts that in some way prove the possibility of the theory being true.

Here let Mr. Einstein help
Theory : a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena:{Einstein's theory of relativity.}

Now as for the possibility of parallel universes existing there are a number of studies and ideas that make the idea of parallel universes fairly probable but I doubt we will ever say it's factual unless we are able to communicate with one. Even then I bet it will be hard to prove.

Everything in science is theory, because that is what science is based on.
Just like worm holes though, parallel universes are mathematically possible and fit nicely into many theories including the spreading string theory (Sorry if I got that wrong).
Also some people in quantum mechanics consider alternate realities to be the cause of odd behavior on the subatomic level.
Lastly, theory states that they would exist in infinite number, so not just A parallel universe

IF parallel universes exist then there would not be just one parallel universe to ours but and infinite number of them. One of the major theories out there right now, known as the M-Theory, is basically that our universe is just one tine membrane floating with an infinite number of "parallel" membranes.

ONLY on TV. Space and time don't allow such Twilight zones. However there is a 4thD Einstein was on the brink in his Theories,allowing for a complete change of time /space and energy. We at this point cant put our finger on a 4th dimension,but it does exist. Just as a quickest point between two points is no longer a straight line,it takes higher math to go further.Once you forget all the approved theories,you can have a open mind to discover the Universe and all the quirks that it offers.We know nothing at this point,pioneers.

Someone in the universe parallel to us just asked this same question, only he wrote, "is it just theory, or is it possible?"

It is both: possible and just a theory.
Personally, I believe it belongs in the realm of SciFi - but, then again, who knows what wonders we have yet to discover about our universe? It certainly is intriguing to ponder about a parallel universe - much like pondering about time travel. Neither is probably possible, but it makes for an interesting thought experiment.

whether the hypothesis (no longer concept nor certainty) of Parallel Universes is authentic, your questioning that desires honestly ensue in parallel universes is definitely untrue. reason being - lots of the activities (no longer all) that we see in dream are too diffused & Universally unlawful to be even remotely latest everywhere. as an occasion - In a dream, I see myself going interior a Federal reserve united states development yet as quickly as I enter i detect i've got honestly entered a huge, filled, suffocating pumpkin and on suffering my way out i detect i develop into interior an Apple's i-Pad honestly no longer Fed development or pumpkin. this is in simple terms the sub-wakeful suggestions playing tricks.

Hi. One single parallel universe? No, I don't think so. If they exist there should be an infinite number of them.

Its a possible theory... Or in theory it's a possibility... Or maybe it's possibly a theory. In all seriousness though your question is about as open as they come. You may want to restructure your question.

It's possible, but it's more conjecture than theory. A theory can be tested and is based on evidence; a conjecture is a wild hunch based on imagination and intuition.
