Most do...depends on the restaurant though. There is one near me...I think it's a "Del Taco" and they have a big sign that says cash only in the drive-thru. But I'd say 95% of the time...yes. They'd take Mastercard.

No, but I was told that this one night I took 8 full bars (Xanax) I had decided to go to Whataburger at like 2 in the morning with no car (it was only a few blocks away). Somehow I came back with food, that I never ate, even though the lobby was closed. Man, I wish I remembered that moment....I bet it was interesting...
