I was just wondering if u can put mussels in a koi pond. would they eat them or not. PLEASE answer

You can, but why? They do nothing for the pond and would really foul it if the water chemistry got off and they died. Also, mussels can carry diseases that the fish can then catch. Not really a wise idea.

You can, but I don't recommend it.

The koi will not eat it, because they will not be able to open the shell. Think of the Koi's mouth structure... they aren't the type of fish that will eat mussel, rather they eat particles.

Mussels will grow rapidly and will take over your pond. They will also, as the other person said, give you major problems with cleaning. Mussels also contain a high number of parasites that will spread to your Koi.

There is really no good reason to be keeping mussels in your koi pond.
