i am an outfielder, and during my softball season this year i started getting extreme pain in my shoulder when i threw only nothing else. as the season continued it got worse, and while warming up it would take 20-25 throws for the pain to stop, then towards the end of the season it got to the point where i lost strength and accuracy, and the pain didnt go away, is it from throwing too much, or too hard? what do you think is wrong?

Sounds like you did but I'm not a doctor. It'll take time for it to heal so don't push it if you don't have to

You may have just pulled a muscle and not torn the rotator cuff, that would be a good thing. If the ladder is true you may have ended your career (Worst case that is).

There are options in fixing the rotator but you have to weigh the options and see if it's really what you want to do.

Consult your Doctor and find out the real cause of your pain. Someone in the Sports field of medicine would be best.

Hoping it's just a pull that hasn't healed yet would be great news.

Good luck

If you can still throw the ball then you didn't necassarily blow your shoulder out but you need to rest and rehab it because if you continue you will blow it out. I think what you have done is put a lot of stress on it and it hasn't taken enough time off to heal. This happened to me when I went from a fastball pitcher in baseball to a knuckle ball pitcher. If you rest it for a while and occasionally throw you should be fine but be careful.

You really need to see your doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give you medical advice. People on this site are not. How in the world can you expect a professional diagnosis when no one here can even see the injury?? Get smart and go to your doctor.

Chow!!

You may have slightly popped it out of place. They generally put themselves pack when you move your arm. I did this playing football. It hurts for about a month.

Get well soon!
