Of course it will. See the logic behind this is simple. We expel excess body heat through our skin and the sweat comes out to cool down the surface. In the same way, in a car, the excess heat is given out through the radiator, the coolant in the radiator helps to cool the radiator. I think you can understand now

The ONLY way for the car to expel excess heat is via the radiator. So without the radiator, it WILL definitely overheat. VW some times have air cooled engine but the idea is the same. It needs to be cooled and the radiator is the best way to do it.

The only exception are those full time drag racing cars. I once heard they have no radiator (it is only 1/4 mile run).

Unless it's a Corvair, Porsche 911, 912 or 914, or an old VW . . . . Yes, it will do a FINE job of overheating.

Drag cars without a radiator still have a water pump to circulate coolant. It's usually electrically driven to reduce accessory draw from the crankshaft. You don't see an alternator on these cars either. The water pump is driven straight off a battery that you just recharge between runs. They'll usually use magnetos for ignition as they are self-powering.

yes, basically it shouldn't even be started without a radiator unless its a vw ,older model, they didn't have radiators in them, all air cooled, but if its supposed to have one,yes it would over heat real fast without it.good luck.

Yes, as the pistons expand from the heat they will eventually sieze in the cylinders. Air cooled engines like old volkswagons have overheating problems in hot weather.

yes the engine needs something to cool it off from all the friction and heat from the cylinders

Most definitely!! It contains the engine coolant that keeps it from seizing up the pistons, camshaft and other moving parts!!!!
