She's probably depressed. Do you know her well enough that you could possibly be a listening ear for her.? How old is she?
Perhaps she doesn't know how to ask for help. Then again, she could also be suffering from bi-polar disorder [undiagnosed]
Life is not a bowl of cherries for anyone these days....

Sometimes people just try too hard to hide their problems. Maybe she just needs someone to be nice to her and ask her if she needs to talk or something.
