contact person is Ms. Rachie Brian, who claims to be the manager of the said hotel. She instructed me to email her a scanned copy of my international passport and application form. She uses this ad www.plazahotel.ca. Then she instructed me to email a person for further instructions regarding visa processing.

NO! Don't send anything, it is a scam. That is 1 of 2 hotel names that comes up constantly in this scam. There is no Plaza Hotel in Ottawa. Everyone keeps asking on here about it. They get you to do an application, then will take care of all the details, and charge you for processing legal work on the immigration.

Did you apply somewhere? Did you make it known you wanted a job? The email is just spam that is sent out to a lot of foreign email.

I checked that website. It doesn't exist. It just pops up with advertising links to other travel related sites. It does not say anything about a Plaza hotel.

Nope. It is a scam. Read up on other questions posted here about the PLAZA or OMNI hotel job offers, and also look up and understand the term "phishing".

Better stop right now. Stop your communication with them. If I were you try more research about her credibility. That's what I'm trying to do because I've already sent my resume to her too. She sent me back an application form that I didn't fill it up. It really didn't look real.
