My teacher was said this: "Like the story of evolution says we came from monkeys..." Can't remember what she was talking about but should she be a teacher?

She also mispells about everything she writes down.

No I know what evolution is and I believe it but I'm saying should she be allowed to teach if she doesn't know what a theory is or what evolution is?

Saying that we evolved from monkeys makes as much sense as saying you evolved from me. Humans and primates had a common ancester a few million years ago, but it was neither a monkey nor a hominid. It was an ancester.
Clearly she doesn't have a clue and probably shouldn't be teaching.

Well, your description doesn't paint her in the best light, but you really haven't given us much to go on. "We came from monkeys" isn't all that inaccurate, though it is overly simplistic.

And even the best writers are often poor spellers who rely on editors to help them out.

The real way to judge her worthiness as a teacher is if you feel like you're learning anything - and honestly ask yourself if that's her fault, or your own - and how she treats the students.

Why wouldn't she be allowed to teach? Although it is not exactly true that we came from monkeys(monkeys and us came from a common relative), I see no harm in teaching evolution

Wow.

No. Teachers are supposed to KNOW their material. You may want your principal to observe her or something.
..."The story of evolution"?! Wow. I'm not even going to touch her interpretation of it.

Aaagh! NO ... she shouldn't be allowed anywhere NEAR a science classroom!

No wonder people have such a lousy understanding of evolution.

Don't they have tests for science teachers in your state?

What state do you live in?

well, hopefully, she isn't mixing in religion with it. Because religion and science should be separated on 99.9% occasions. However, if she is mixing it, then she should NOT be allowed to teach.
