i change 20% of water twice a week but i dont have a syphone whats some good small cleaning type fish or snails or crabs or whatever that would eat alage and kinda groom gravel, i wouldnt mind making my tank brackish so thats not a problem (unless Oscras cant survive in brackish but i think they can and do) this is my first warm water aquarium and its doing great my fish is very energetic and the water has a good rich soil smell so i think im doing pretty good, also i know i will need to upgrade my tank to 80gal

Your very best bet is to get the siphon to be honest. There are no animals that will remove the waste from the gravel. As far as a fish to help with uneaten food and algae, I would try an adult bristlenose catfish.

Ditto to the above... get the 80 gallon very soon.

First of all, know that you can NOT keep an Oscar in a 30 gallon tank long term. Second, the best clean up crew is a syphon hose and a bucket... DO WATER CHANGES!!! You can also get a Bristlenose pleco (Ancistrus sp.) to help to some of the algae cleaning, but get the Oscar into a bigger tank before it's too late and it stunts its growth.

Pleco's are the only possible clean up crew in an Oscar tank. No other crew will survive long enough to carry out the job :-)

I really can't think of anything that your Oscar won't eat. I suppose you could use Ghost Shrimp, anything your Oscar doesn't eat will scavenge the bottom till it does get eaten.

I would hurry on the 80g, Oscars grow fast.

The first fish that came to mind is plecostomus, but make sure that it is as big if not bigger than your oscar.
