I have three cichlids......OK, it depends on what kind of cichlid. If they are African cichlids only other African cichlids Or South American With only South american cichlids. The only other non-cichlid fish you can put in are Algae eaters and very few bottom feeders.Your local fish store should have
a compatability sheet. Or you can go online @ www.petco.com , click on fish, then go to aquatic life then click on fresh water fish then click on any fish (even non-cichlids) go close to the bottom of the page and click on Compatability chart and............tada! :)

That answer depends entirely on what cichlid you're talking about. Rams and discus are generally peaceful cichlids and can fit well into tropical communities. African cichlids, especially mbuna, should only be with other africans (otherwise they will destroy other non-africans). Angels can ususally go into a tropical or semi-aggressive community. The big american cichlids need to be with other big american cichlids.

sounds like a Zebra Cichlid (Pseudotropheus), specific they're tremendously aggressive. BTW that's probable a male judging via the egg spots on that's ventral fin. in case you have a 50gal or larger tank you ought to objective approximately 3 woman zebra. yet another decision may be an excellent Synodontis or comparable catfish. back thats going to choose 50gal or greater. It depends on what kind of cichlid you mean. Some are territorial, some are not.

What type? Catfish would probably get along pretty well.
