With people there is always apposing viewpoints. Its my op pinon that this basically based on region and occupation.
Lets focus on region. It is obvious that the U.S has many views, a more liberal north and a more Conservative south. You know that this was formed way back and involves everything from slavery to agriculture and industry. And these groups are relatively close. Now picture the West vs. East. The West tends to be a more scientific society, while the East is more spiritually and traditionally based. This will cause conflict based on belief difference, and neither side is wrong, but both sides are immature and excepting in general. There will always be war or uneasy peace in some parts of the world, and it is based on religion, the past, and most of all money. The world will never forget the past, even when one side has really changed. If people where more considerate and realize that they are doing exactly what the other side is, then we would realize that our Holy Wars and money and oil battles are just childish, but no one will ever, so the answer is no, unless for some reason oil disapears, we all have our memorys erased and history books burnes and all become one religon, than there will be conflict. But even then there will be, so the answer is no.

There is no physical "World Peace", at this present time since 2000 years ago. As world trouble are increasing. But there is peace in the "World of the Christians" individually as they are awaiting for that "Great Rapture" God has promised expounded by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18. Then the 7 years tribulation will follow for the Jews expounded in Revelation, the war of Armageddon, then yes a perfect "World Peace" will follow in a millenium. Satan will be loosen for a while to make trouble again, and the great white throne judgement of the world will follow.

Never.
Until we can get our egos into check, there are too many people motivated by hurt, anger and needing revenge.
Until we can unburden ourselves with primitive belief systems that cause division rather than unity, there will be conflict.
Until we can agree on common goals and the same way to achieve those goals, there will be conflict.
Until we can address basic human needs, too many will be consumed with trying to meet their needs and sometimes act out of desperation.
Until we can let go of the notion that violence is an answer to anything, we will continue to find ourselves embroiled in conflict.
In the meantime, the best we can do is to construct a life that does the least amount of harm to others. We can work to towards creating models of living peacefully and hope that others will see the benefit and begin to take on some of those qualities.

No. As much as I wish there could be world peace, there never will be if all the so-called leaders of the world continue acting like selfish, mean little children. We will eventually be launched into a nuclear war. How sad.

No. I think humankind's flawed nature prevent world peace from actually being achievable. I do still think it a goal worth working towards, but only if one is realistic about the possibilities of achieving it.

No. Domination would cease. All religions would have to be tolerated. All races would have to get on. The color of peoples skin would not matter.Governments would have to look after their people instead of themselves.Big business would fold and money would be distributed equally Starvation in poor countries would be eliminated. The poor and homeless would have to be looked after. Everyone would be in titled to free health care.I think you get the picture!

absolutely not.
my own beliefs coincide a bit with Taoism. basically, there must be evil in order for there to be good. you can't eliminate wrong and harmful acts and you can't rid the word of decent, kind, and charitable acts. in order for one to exist, the other must exist in order to give the other definition and meaning.
you can look at my answer in a negative light. you can look at it in a positive light. my own vision sees that both exist and thats the way the world works. there's always a balance in some way.

It's possible as soon as children start to run the government. Children can forgive and forget, and play nicely, while adults hold a grudge and sometimes actually like to fight.
