Trying to work something out, we'll have to give our all or it'll bound to fail anyway.
I never had a success story either.

Yes, for about 3 years.
The last day I saw her:
Worse was going over to her house with her birthday present and finding another guy sitting in the living room.
HE told me that she is dating him now, so "get lost." So I left the present by the front door, crushed emotionally, and walked toward my car to leave forever.
She came out and threw my present at me, screaming "I never want to see you again!!"
I drove off and was depressed for days.
Heard years later that she got 4 kids, different guy. And he divorced her for another woman.
Revenge is sweet....
I would have still been married to her. Her choice to leave me...

I think everyone has at one point of their life. You need to let go and move on. There are things that we will never figure out or understand. It doesnt mean you did anythign wrong it just means it was not meant to be.

Yes I have. In my last marriage and I probably won't do it again. It was a mistake to think I have the power to change someone else.

well after my last brake up i haven't dated for the past two years so I'd say yep i pretty much gave up on relationships.
