I never thumbs down an answer even if it is mean. I just don't thumbs up it. Don't you wonder who has nothing better in their life but to run around thumbs downing peoples answers for questions they don't even answer?

eizus28 I wish it was that easy...but hey, they don't make a difference anyway. Not on my questions they don't.

Eternal: Clearly such stalkers should have their thumbs pulled off. However, I do thumbs down. Such antipathy is reserved for the deliberately offencive and factually and blatantly incorrect. For the ignorant, opinionated and deluded masses I am, for the most part, delighted to explain the error of their ways rather than resort to the thumbs.

HC: Perversely, lots of thumbs down (TD) do not bother me, but a single one does. For example, if I ask a question, and people attempt to answer it in good faith, it greatly annoys me to see that they have received a single TD. My reasoning being that such validation should be interpreted as coming from the (single) questioner who has more emotional attachment to the question. I never TD any answer made in good faith.
