I love the name Seth.
Seth ... means appointed..... traits for Seth are viewed as a
strong outdoorsman who is intelligent, hard working, and
reliable.
I am not to crazy over the name Mangus .
Suggestions would be ...
Michael... means... who is like the Lord ....traits for Michael
described as a strong, handsom,who is both smart and successful.
Gavin ..... means ... hawk

My husband loves the name Magnus as well. Seth Magnus doesn't really sound that bad, it flows pretty nicely. Magnus means 'great'. Magnus Samuelsson (sp) won the World's Strongest Man competition for 6 years. It's a very strong name. If/when you have to say your son's full name, Magnus will definitely grab his attention and stop him in his tracks. Try it out a bit and see if you can get used to it.
If not, maybe Seth Christopher, Seth Michael, Seth William.

Magnus is a very silly name, but boys rarely talk about their middle names, and Seth might find it cool when he's younger and funny when he's older. Magnus sounds like some kind of superweapon or wrestler, and I think most boys aged 2-14 would rename themselves Axel or Bazooka or Magnitron or something similar if we let them ;) If I were you, I might give in to your husband just for the entertainment that you'll all be able to get from teasing him in his taste in names for years to come ;)

After I had my son, my husband and I were arguing about the middle name. They were both good names. My father and law said, "Who just did all the work?" So in the end my son got the middle name I picked out. I think ya'll should sit down and look through the book together so you can be on the same page as to what ya'll both like. I think Magnus is hilarious. It makes me think of a cartoon character. Not in a bad way! ;)
