Im just wondering, most bald guys have alot of body hair. I have noticed lately a increase in hair on my chest, and a little on my back has popped up. Anyone here have alot of body hair thats not bald? Im convinced the beta blocker medication I took is making me go bald and I use to have no body hair at all.

There is no connection between going bald and getting back hair. My ex-boyfriend had a real rug on his back (sexy!) but also plenty of hair on his head.

I thinnk there might be some relationship between baldness and body hair. The DHT that causes male pattern baldness supposedly works somewhat in reverse on the rest of the body and actually stimulates hair growth. Thus, you will see many men who are balding whith lots of chest and back hair, but your genetic disposition is where most of your baldness and body hair comes from. There is no reason for body hair to lead to balding - it is just the reverse in that balding is a sign that you might have increased body hair.

best to ask the doc who gave you the meds.

most guys lose the hair on the head as they get old, they also get hair in other places, like on the back. as far as i know they are not related.
