With my laptop, it's because I put it in hibernation (not shutdown completely) and it's also set to turn on whenever a button is pressed.

When I'm transporting or handling my laptop, buttons can be pressed accidentally, turning the machine on.

Solutions:
- Turn the machine off completely, don't Hibernate.
- Disable "Turn on automatically when a button is pressed" in the Power Settings (Control Panel)
- When Hibernating, before I put the laptop in its bag I press the cover gently which activates the problem button turning the machine on. Before the machine boots, I turn the power off completely. Result is Hibernation, but no possibility the power can come on by itself.
