yes!!!! i did an HID conversion on my friend's 2006 sentra which was an 8000k kit. i also did one on my 1999 grand vitara and that was also 8000k. the bulb will not melt the lamp, your car wont catch on fire, and nobody is going to die lol j/k. the kits are very simple to install and for me it was basically all plug and play. the only issue might be that the depth of the interior reflector, but in most cars this is not the issue. if you install the kit correctly you should be fine!!!
keep in mind when you do it, make sure everything is plugged in right and mounted right. the only thing left for you to do at that point is make sure that high beam wire is connected to highs, low to lows and ground to ground. very very very simple, however you should have at least little electrical experiance. the whole thing takes less than half an hour.
o and let me clarify a few things from previous answers i see on here. HID can work two diferent ways, projection and regular reflection housing. you can do both, but trying to retrofit projections is just too complicated and you need to cut and on top of that if you ever need to go back to stock bulbs FORGET IT, with the HID conversion kit, for the most part its plug and play, you might have to change couple things on the kit but its simple, and the best part if you need to go back to stock you can.....enjoy and have fun i can guarantee you that you will like it!!!

well, in a conversion kit, you convert everything. i think hid's use projection, unlike traditional witch use reflection, if you look your current lamp reflects unlike the one you will use. i think thats it
