My hubby is a gamer, you can imagine the shock when I saw him come home with his "guitar" and game. All that guitar "twang" drove me nuts after an hour. The songs could have at least be more recent!
Anyways, just like every other gamer control, the "guitar" gathers dust in a corner of his closet, and the game on the shelf.
But, he never did try DDR! Thank goodness!

The game is highly addictive and actually helps develop rhythm and hand eye coordination. Many folks that play guitar hero are musicians and enjoy the competitive nature of the game. I look forward to the third release!

Okay A) don't diss DDR I like that game *glare* B) I don't know why people play guitar hero. I think it was invented as a ploy to make adults play with toys. At least with DDR you get exercise and you bounce around to happy music.

Guitar hero has lots of good music in it and it can make you feel like a rock star even if you aren't very good. It feels rewarding to keep the flow going on popular hard to play music.

I can dance and play the guitar! I used to love both of them! My dad is a DJ so he stored both of the games in his ware house, and I cant play them anymore. I dont have a huge prob with that now cuz he bought me a PS3.

I've never played guitar hero, but I disagree about your DDR statement. If anyone actually danced the way they were taught in DDR, they'd look pretty special on the dancefloor...

it's just a really fun game, everyone- even the people with absolutely NO musical abilities- wants to be a rockstar at least once in their life, Guitar Hero gives you probably the most satisfaction you'll ever get, because lets face it--- not everyone is born with rock star abilities.

because its the only game where ppl who suck at guitar can feel like they can play for some great band, when its just 5 colored buttons they have to press. Its just fun.

First i hate rock and i hate guitars. Since my friend introduce me to the Game " Gutiar Heroes 2" , I was like addict to the game. Now i listen to rock, punk like FOB, MCR, Boys like Girls and etc... I guess gutiar heroes is for people who hate rock so they could like it.lol
