We spend so much time remembering how others hurt us but fail to realize that we have hurt others too because we only think of how others made us feel. That's called selfishness and insensitivity. These attitude are human nature.

No, I'm not like that. I always remember. There was my little brother when I ground his face into the dirt & my boyfriend in 12th grade who I dumped the night of my graduation party, then there was that guy I kicked at that party(but he shouldn't have grabbed my b***) &Then in my 30's I had my ex arrested but he deserved it & I've been good ever since, I promise!

I was in a relationship and it ended pretty badly.
I still blame myself for having a part in making things awful for him and myself, so not only do I remember how hurt I was, I think of the things I did to him.

Every singel person or country is hurt by the American government.
I dont hate America as a country OR its people, but the government is what causses the wounds.

I believe that age and some maturity makes one realize that hurt goes both ways...I often recall the pain I have inflicted on someone.......but, when I was going through it all it seemed justified. Now, as I age, I realize it ISN'T ALL ABOUT ME!

I have to believe it's just selfishness...there may be some people who are capable of focusing more on others, however, i think it's just easier for you to focus on yourself and what others have done to you...sucks...but i think that's just the way it is :(
i try to remind myself of that, but find myself dwelling on what others have done to me...it's frustrating

I guess, we care about ourselves more than, how much others may feel. Plus we think about what we want, rather then thinking about what it may cause to others.
