I'd say it's kind of fun and exciting during your 2nd trimester when you're not that big and you have a little round belly, but the 3rd trimester tummy is a different story.
Your big stomach makes it hard to sleep comfortably, hard to take a deep breath, hard to eat without feeling bloated and full and hard to walk (it aggravates your back).
But it's all worth it for baby! And you can feel proud when someone notices your tummy and congratulates you on becoming a mother.

I remember I was exactly the same way at 15 weeks. I was dying to wear my "maternity" clothes. It was fleeting...
However, truthfully, as much as I love it, it is the most uncomfortable feeling... My belly constantly gets in the way at work, at home, out shopping, everywhere. I'm always bumping into things, I can't see my feet, and I spent one day last week reminiscing with my old "skinny" clothes.
Feeling wise, my feet hurt, my tummy feels stretched to the max, and I can hardly breathe half the time...

Its pretty neat when you see it first start popping out! But for me, when I really got big at the end, it got bothersome. I had trouble getting up from places (tables, deep couches, bed, ect) and I kept bumping into things! It kinda gets in the way after a while! lol. But then you realize your baby is that "bump" so it's worth the agony! I just wasn't one of those happy prego people. I was happy to be done and have my angel!

It's cute during the second and maybe early third trimester, but by the end of the third trimester, it's like hauling a giant watermelon around. You can't breathe easily, can't get up out of chairs and can't get comfortable in bed, plus it gives you wicked indigestion. I'm almost 39 weeks, and it doesn't feel cute or fun anymore.

Well it feels wonderful! I loved being pregnant and feeling the baby move. There's nothing like it!..I have already had my kids but love hearing about new mommies and mommies to be. I used to love feeling my stomach with my fingertips. lol...A sort of massage. This also helped me deal with stress...it comforted me. Congradulations to you and best wishes for a happy healthy pregnancy.

It's a great feeling. But it also puts a lot of strain on your back. If you can at all, go and exercise to strengthen your muscles. Especially your back muscles.
And to avoid stretch marks (well, you didn't ask about that but I'll share my experience anyways...): There's a great product that's called Bio-Oil . It really worked for me - and I found out about it on YA! So I feel I just have to pass on this great info.
Enjoy your pregnancy!!!!

I can't believe that someone would refer to it as gross and disgusting! I think it's so beautiful! I love it, I was the same way, I couldn't wait until I got my big, hard, round belly! It's so sexy! You're gonna love it girl! It's definitely something to look forward to! Have fun! & Congrats mama!

It's fun at first! I l'd like to stay at my 7 months size while pregnant, after 7 months, I couldn't breath when I laid down and sleeping is hard!
