It depends where you are in the world.
caribbean In Australia the emphasis is on the 1st syllable. sudoku In Australia the emphasis is on the 2nd syllable.

You need 4 syllables for carribean no matter how you place the emphasis. Here in Canada we use both of the Carribean variants but we place the emphasis on the second syllable for sudoku.
