Fire and Wheel were among the first major inventions. Automobiles, Aircrafts, Ships and Computers came down the line - very powerful inventions. What next major invention we could expect or what is the area in which a major invention can be expected. Is it going to be transportation where we will digitize the living being also (Star track style) and send them across ? Or could it be populating the moon ? Please post your reasonable (and not so reasonable) ideas. Thanks.

I think and hope the next great inventions will be a new fuel source that will power vehicles as well as create cheap electrity. I also think there will be great inventions in the world of medicine that will cure many cancers end many peoples' suffering and pain. I also believe the computer world will see virtual reality become so realistic that the player will feel as though they really are involved with the players in the game.
I hope they invent something to influence peoples dreams so we really can learn as we sleep and also have truly wonderful experiences in our dreams that let us awaken relaxed and refreshedly in good moods.

My guess (and it's only a guess) is that the next really --big-- advances will be in understanding the coding of human DNA and, in particular, developing effective treatments for genetic disorders. It may also be possible to 'sort through' a fathers sperm to find the one that will 'match' with the womans ovum to develop the characteristics the parents want for the child (sex, hair color, eye color, etc.) But that one will raise one helluva roar when the hardcore fundamentalist religious types get wind of it âº
