Ditto on MM here. Where are you at, and how old is the Arowana? This is one of the actual cases where a vet just might be able to be of use to a fish believe it or not. Many Asian Arowana's of older age are sedated and have minor surgeries performed on them for various injuries incurred from tank to pond transports. This could very easily be a situation where your Arowana may need to be sedated and treated, but it'd need to be done VERY soon. If it's just the scale only, I wouldn't worry, but do what MM said on keeping the tank clean, and give some extra salt to help the Arowana to induce a slime coating to help keep that covered.

As you probably know, Arowana are very very jittery fish, and spook easy until they are many years old. Silver south Americans can still be jittery even up to 3-4 years, there always are exceptions to the typical norms. If that eye is damaged in any way, I'd really give some serious consideration to consulting a vetrenarian that would treat your fish. You'll really need to take action shortly before he really begins the healing process.

There really isn't much you can do for him except keep the tank extra clean to help avoid fungus and bacteria infections in the wound. Also try to keep the room quite and calm for the next few hours so he can settle down and get over the trauma.

Do watch the wound over the next week or so for any signs of disease.

he will regrow his scales, just keep him in check and when you feed him (not sure if you feed him pellets, freeze dried worms, blah blah) make sure the food isnt close to the side of a tank so he doesnt injure himself when he throws himself against the food getting it.

Not sure if your arowana does this but mine does :/
